Tim faxed in the medical conditions checklist today. I recieved email confirmation that we are in line. There are about 200 people ahead of us in the waiting child program. The agency is saying about 12 months to a match, but nothing is ever written in stone in adoption.
I will pick up my doctor phyicals tomorrow. I know I have done that about a million times all ready. Tim will get his police clearance on Thursday and then I can start the sealing process on the Ohio documents.
I did look at the I-800 instructions today. Goodness! It is one of those things you need silence in the house to do.
My summer goal is to have my dossier done, at least the things I can control, by August.

Home Study Done
We had our last visit with our SW yesterday. It went well. She will type it up and send it to our agency for review.
This paperwork is very daunting. Just when you think that you are making headway, you get slammed again. The SW brought something to our attention about the I-800 form that we fill out and send more paperwork with to immigration. Under the Hague, any state or foreign country that you have lived since you were 18 you must get clearance from their central registry--to make sure there were no complaints with children services. Ok, fine Arkansas and Ohio. But then Tim was in the military and has lived in Japan, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Iraq...... So we have a call in to the agency to see what the protocol is for that.
I will get the doctor phyicals next week, they were not ready when I called Thurday. So once I get those and Tim gets his local police clearance I can start the sealing process on those documents. And that should be the bulk of our Ohio stuff.

One More to Go
We have one more meeting next week with the SW and we will be done for our home study. :)
Tim and met with her separetly today. Both of our meetings went well. I gave her a copy of our MCC and our adoption petition today. She will use those when she writes up the home study. Inching along.....

I will be running out our doctor physical forms for the 3rd time. There were some more errors and they need to be fixed. UGH!!! I think I will drop them off on Wednesday and pick them up on Monday. Good grief.

Random Adoption Talk
I wrote our adoption petition today. It was pretty painless. It is a document that says what kind of child we wish to adopt and that we will love her with all our hearts and provide her with the best education. So check that one off!
We will get our police clearance this week from Lake Township. And I need to type up our finacial statement as well. Once I get all these little goodies done I will go get them notarized, head to the county clerk so they can stamp it>>then to the Secretary of State>>then Chinese Consolute in New York. Whew it is a lot! I also need to start hounding Tim about getting his passport. Even though he is not going, we still need it.
I need to gather more pictures too. They want 3 couple pictures and 8 family life (we both have to be in those too).
I also hope to have the medical conditions checklist (MCC) signed and faxed in by the end of June. That gets us in line so to speak. :)
