With the lovely summer weather we have been having, I have been walking 3 miles or riding my bike 3-5 miles a day, trying to get rid of my sweet rolls. I have done this for about 4 weeks without incidence.
Tonight the boys went to grandma's, Tim went to class, and I went for a bike ride. On the last leg home that is where our story begins. I have seen this chocolate lab many times on my rides, walks or while driving my car. The owner always hollers and he stays in the yard. Today the lady of the house was checking her mail. We made idle chit chat, I noticed the dog at the edge of their yard on the shoulder of the road. Out of no where, I feel a sharp pain on my upper right thigh. I hollered ouch. The lady said did he scratch you? I said I think so. I road a bit farther down and yikes; It freaking started to hurt. He took a bite outta my hammock.
Fast forward, my MIL took me to the ER. I got a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and Tylenol with codeine. I also had to fill out a bite report that will be sent to the county dog warden. I wanted to loose a few pounds, but not by physically biting it off my thigh. If he wanted to really fill up, he should have latched on to this belly.

LID
Just got the official word, our log in date is June 10, 2009. That just means that China has our dossier. If we were doing a traditional adoption (instead of the special needs) the LID is your place in line so to speak.
We put our home on the market on June 4. Since then we have had 2 showings. To say this is causing me stress is an understatement. In the long run, it will benefit our family. This transition period is a little rocky and I have been praying about it.

13 Years!
We usually don't do anything for this occassion. This past weekend the kids went to grandmas and we did stuff together. We went to breakfast and then road on the motorcycle most of the day. It was a good time. We decided to shoot for 70 years together.
Showing today
We are showing our home today, the one we live in, not the Genoa house. Pray that they love it and want to buy it NOW. I told Tim that if someone made an offer today, it would be the most awesome anniversary present.
