Paperwork

Things have settled down on the paperwork homefront. CCAI sent it to the Sec of State, the Sec of State is sending it to me. I will get it tomorrow, then I will send it to the courier in NY who will get it stamped and send it back to CCAI. Get all that?

As far the doctor stuff, I completed my bloodwork. Tim will do his on Thursday. I hope to have all that mess done the week of May 4th. It gets notarized by my neighbor, bless her heart and sent to CCAI.

Then keep your fingers crossed, onto China.

Mia's Room

I am almost done with Mia's room. The two walls shown with the bed need something on them. I have a few ideas. I am also looking for a reasonably priced oval mirror for above the dresser.

Dossier, UGH

I am somewhat in a holding pattern with the Sec. of State. I have left a message with my state rep, if he doesn't call back then I can contact Marcy Kaptor. I mean my gosh, a simple email saying oops we put the wrong name on the paperwork. I could have it by now and be on my merry way.

As far as the doctor, Tim and I see him tomorrow afternoon. I am getting my ducks in a row, I am getting a letter that he saw us April 23 and just in case the state thing does not pan out like I want, I am getting new physicals and bloodwork ordered. I am getting my co-pay worth, by golly.

Craptastic

What a day, a craptastic day. I am assuming that this is what is meant by adoption is a roller coaster of a ride. The paperwork part is driving me to drink. I called the doctor this morning to ask him to write a letter, basically buying us a bit more time to finish the paperwork. His answer was no. I responded by being so mad I cried. Then the Ohio Secretary of State would not write a letter stating that they made an error on one of my documents. They want the originals back, so they can put the "new/correct paperwork in there". So once again I cried.

I am usually not this emotional, and no I do not have PMS. I just want this paperwork DONE and sent to CHINA, but there are all these little kinks in the way. I wanted to yell at the people today, but know that I need them to finish this dossier, so I refrained.

I promise no more downer posts, at least for today.

Dossier Stuff

I was so happy to get the dossier sent off to where it needed to go, thinking that I was done. Nope, nada. The first call was an easy fix. Today's call not so much. I have two things that need to be taken care of. The first is a simple letter from my doctor, should be easy enough even if they are dingy sometimes. The second has to do with the Ohio Secretary of State. They made an error when sealing my paperwork. I have to get in contact with them to see if they will write a letter stating that they made a mistake. Hmmm, here's hoping this goes well.
