Getting rid of the pudge, one bite at a time

With the lovely summer weather we have been having, I have been walking 3 miles or riding my bike 3-5 miles a day, trying to get rid of my sweet rolls. I have done this for about 4 weeks without incidence.

Tonight the boys went to grandma's, Tim went to class, and I went for a bike ride. On the last leg home that is where our story begins. I have seen this chocolate lab many times on my rides, walks or while driving my car. The owner always hollers and he stays in the yard. Today the lady of the house was checking her mail. We made idle chit chat, I noticed the dog at the edge of their yard on the shoulder of the road. Out of no where, I feel a sharp pain on my upper right thigh. I hollered ouch. The lady said did he scratch you? I said I think so. I road a bit farther down and yikes; It freaking started to hurt. He took a bite outta my hammock.

Fast forward, my MIL took me to the ER. I got a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and Tylenol with codeine. I also had to fill out a bite report that will be sent to the county dog warden. I wanted to loose a few pounds, but not by physically biting it off my thigh. If he wanted to really fill up, he should have latched on to this belly.

Good for you for your persistence with exercise!! That is awful that you got bit. I love dogs but not ones that bite. I could use two big bites out of my big cheeks though:)
