To the post office!

Tim's passport came back in two weeks! So that means all those papers are ready to head to our agency, and we write a few checks. We are gettting closer and closer. Once it goes to our agency, they look over everything, then send it to China. Once it gets to China we have our official "Log in Date" or LID. This is big if we were going the traditional route instead of the SN route.
So in celebration I had a Tw*nkie, actually two, since Tim wasn't home yet. :)

I survived

Well, I did survive the tonsil nonsense. I will not lie, it was not fun. I totally underestimated how much my jaw, teeth, and tongue would hurt. That was the worst part and still is. I will still take it easy for this week, and then it is spring break for me.

We are in the home stretch for school being almost over. And to be really honest I am ready for summer for so many reasons.

Do you nest in adoption?

I have a to do list a mile long, and I have this urgency to get it done now. I have been painting Mia's room, my bedroom, and I have plans to paint my bathroom. I also am taking the drapes to the cleaners, the carpet is getting cleaned the 30th, and I plan on washing the kitchen cabinets and all the knick knacks on top of the cupboards. I also have decorating ideas that I want done too.

If you know me, this is really not like me at all. Sure, I like a clean house, but I do not like to put all the time and energy into cleaning it when I have all my guys helping to mess it up. So could it be nesting? If not it is spring cleaning roids.

It's baaack!

The last little bit of paper is back from NY. Tim applied for a passport on Friday. We were told it would be back in 1 to 4 weeks. So while I am waiting on the passport and on sick leave I will make the copies of all my dossier stuff to be mailed to the agency and then sent to China. Then we will officially be done with that paper chase. I think that it took us an unusually long time.

Tonsils

I keep hearing these horrific stories of adults and their tonsil removal. Somethings I am hearing, "I called 911 because I woke up with a mouthful of blood. I almost bled to death.", "It was the most awful pain in my entire life." "You will have good days and bad days. You will not feel normal until about 4 weeks later."

When pre-admitting called today, I requested to be asleep before the IV was put in. Turns out as an adult you are SOL on that. (Did you read that Katie?) There are possible complications to that scenerio. So I will have to suck it up and get one while awake.

So if you are the praying type, please pray for me to have a speedy recovery that is uneventful.

Sent to the Consulate

2.28.09 the last document was sent to the NY consulate for its final seal.
While waiting, I will need to make copies of all those precious documents, along with their seals and stamps.

Tonsils and My Granny

I bought the ticket for Granny to head north. She is coming to take care of me and the boys after my tonsils come out. Yes, that is right I am 32 and getting them out. I keep hearing all these horrible stories. It is like when you are pregnant the first time and people feel compelled to tell you all the graphic details of their labor and delivery. I will totally take all the pain meds the doc gives me as well as drink plenty of fluids, I am sure Gran will make sure of that.

I plan on laying low for two weeks, then we have spring break. Not that I have any plans; other than cleaning for bunco that week. I am trying to stay positive, maybe I will lose that last 10 pounds of baby fat. Yes, my baby is almost 3.5 years old. Don't judge me. :)
